There’s a common saying, that can be adapted to “Cheap, Easy, Good, pick two”.
Unfortunately, that’s wrong because there is no such thing as a good website builder. The only way to do a good job is to learn to do it by hand using code.
As far tools that produce acceptable results, I don’t know.
Dreamweaver is my favorite. Ultimately if you don’t already know HTML, CSS or Javascript then you’re going to want to learn it eventually. Even with programs that build the site for you, you’re still going to eventually need to learn how to throw in some code to patch something up.
There are a lot of different programs out there that are relatively inexpensive. But that’s not necessarily the best course of action. Learning to code HTML is better, because you can actually do limitless things that way. But if you’re set on it, here’s a couple I have used in the past to get a quick site up and such. (I even used it to build my own company’s website…..shhhhh)
